Apple has just announced its latest phones, the iPhone 17 series. That is three upgrades to familiar models and also the all-new iPhone Air, which is replacing the Plus. If camping out on release day isn’t really your style, and you still need to grab one right away, you will be able to pre-order the iPhone 17, 17 Pro, 17 Pro Max or iPhone 17 Air from 10pm AEST on September 12, before the September 19th release date.
The iPhone 17 features a new design with a slightly larger 6.3-inch display and thinner borders. And after a long wait (and a ton of grumbling), the base iPhone 17 finally includes a 120Hz refresh rate.
Inside, the new A19 chip is quicker and also more efficient, especially when click to read more teamed up with Apple Intelligence. If you are upgrading from an older iPhone, you'll notice a significant increase in speed and smoother gaming thanks to ProMotion.
About the camera, you will find a 48MP Fusion main camera (shooting 24MP photos by default) and a 2x telephoto lens. The ultra-wide camera also receives an upgrade to 48MP, making macro photography crisper and much more refined.
